Papers : of Aubrey Newbill Heflin, 1959-1973.

The collection contains personal correspondence, chiefly letters of congratulation, recommendation, invitation and thanks, speeches, and press releases. There are also assorted papers from the many civic, religious and business organizations to which Heflin belonged, particularly Grace Covenant Church, Richmond, Va.; the Country Club of Virginia; Union Theological Seminary Board of Trustees, Richmond, Va.; University of Virginia; and University of Richmond. A copy of Heflin's master's thesis (1951) on forged checks is also included. Also included in the collection is a resolution in memoriam entitled "Resolution Adopted by the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond" which honors Heflin and briefly traces his career.
